We are offering for sale this unusual and attractive brass Desk Set, which comprises two candlesticks and a matching Inkwell with liner. The inkwell is of an urn shape with a hinged lid, tall handles on either side with ornate mounts and a floral engraved design and it is supported on a broad base with similar design, which rotates like a Lazy Susan, upon a flat plate base. Presumably, it rotates to enable easy access by another person, for example at a partner's desk. It has a weighted base. The inkwell features a removable glass liner with brass top.

The matching pair of candlesticks feature an elongated urn design on a circular base, with an identical design and handles. The sconce, with flared drip pan, is set quite high on a circular column.

This is an very unusual piece and may well be Middle Eastern, possibly Persian in origin.
