An unused & adorable 1950s Clover musical powder box in superb condition complete all the original accessories - presentation box, grey felt pouch, puff & sifter. The music box has a lid decorated with high quality iridescent mother of pearl & abalone. This is a sound little music box & the music plays very well. The tune it plays is The Blue Danube Waltz. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. The inner lid is signed 'Clover' in elegant script. The pink puff is pristine & signed 'Clover' with the registered clover trademark in gilt. The white card edged sifter is like the day it was made. The brass is a deep rich gold. It was coated with a layer of lacquer at the point of manufacture which means it will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The interior & base have attractive satinized finishes, which enhances the appeal of this attractive musical powder box. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The lid of the presentation box is signed 'CLOVER Musical Compact' along with the registered trademark. The interior of the box is lined with clean white satin.
The base of the box is stamped 'BLUE DANUBE WALTZ'.
This adorable musical powder box measures almost 3" X 2" & weighs 128.1 grams.
