A good pair of antique Victorian oak ladder back school room chairs
Standing on circular front and square back legs with stretchers and having a wicker seat with ladder back design to the back rests
These chairs are sometimes called correctional chairs as the low seating height and high straight back was designed for children to use to learn to "sit up straight"
They are often used now as hall, reception bedroom chairs as they are useful to sit on to put on shoes etc
In good overall condition with minor age related wear and marks and with a lovely aged rich patina to the oak

Width 16.5 inches or 42 cm
Depth 14 inches or 37 cm
