Here is an example of a good quality pair of antique mahogany Victorian open bookcases, circa 1890. The pair of bookcases features an escallop shaped top section with a reeded outer frame. Each of the three adjustable shelves features hanging arcaded green leather which is tooled in gold under each shelf. The bookcases feature the original polish. Each bookcase sits on a mahogany plinth base. This is a good quality bookcase with attractive proportions.

This item is an excellent investment but also very practical and would look superb in a variety of rooms from the office, hallway, dining room or living room. This item would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

Condition Report
As this pair of bookcase features the original warm polish, there are some nominal old use marks to the shelves but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There is a very old repair to one shelf. There has been restoration to the plinths some time ago. There are no splits to the sides or front of the bookcase. The item boasts its original polish which is nice to see. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. If you decide to return the item at the point of delivery, you will only pay for the delivery cost. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.

For UK buyers, we will accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer). Payment is requested within 5 days of the sale.
