Circa 1900, pair of carved, gilded and upholstered side chairs. Each with a gilded frame topped by plumes and foliate carving, the back and seats upholstered and with the gilding worn in places (the Venetian red priming can be seen, giving a classic look). The front legs with foliate carved knees, and cabriole back legs on a simple raised toe.
