Pair of early 19th Century French side chairs retaining their original paint and detailed parcel gilt, carved decoration. The backs, having gilded top rail, and padded back rests are flanked by scrolled, curved reeded supports.

The front rail has gilded carved wood decoration, the same as the top rail. Raised on exaggerated, cabriole animal form front legs with carved gilded leaf designs, terminating in paw feet, outswept back legs with matching scrolls.

Sleek enough to fit in and around all sorts of spaces!
