Splendid pair of large 17th.c. style leather armchairs c.1900. High shaped backrests and seats retaining the original leather upholstery and large brass studs. Backs both feature an unusual embossed armorial devise flanked with lions rampant and topped with a helmet with extravagant plume. Beechwood frames with shaped arms and turned front stiles joined with a carved front stretcher and turned centre and side stretchers. Repairs to the leather at the rear, otherwise excellent colour and condition.
