Pair of Antique French Walnut Commodes


Circa 1840, unusual, rare pair of French walnut cross-banded commodes. Topped with grey and red variegated marble with simple moulded edge, and beneath is a serpentine front and rounded corners. Each with 3 full length drawers with ornate handles and open, foliate backplates, above a shaped apron. This apron and rounded fore-edge continue down to form the feet. One commode is slightly larger than the other.
