Pair of 18th Century Side Eject Brass Candlesticks

We have for sale a pair of rather hard to find 18th century brass side eject candle sticks.
This lovely pair of 18th century candlesticks each of which consisting of a circular base extending to a stem with a central section with with an oblong cut-out section for the push up slider/ejector and an upper section with a knurled band extending to fixed sconce. The candle sticks probably date to somewhere around 1780.
The candlesticks are 9 inches (23cm) high and have bases that are 4 inches (10cm) in diameter. The candlesticks are in a good to very good antique condition with one or two minor indentations and the surface wear one would expect from nearly 250 years of use. One candlestick has been repaired by the internal insertion of a replacement cork at the junction between the central slider section and the base, see picture 4.
