We are pleased to offer for sale this lovely pair of gilt brass, three-branch Candelabra in the Regency manner. They have triform black marble bases and the three legs have paw feet with an upturned scroll to the knees with a pleated palm leaf design between them.. The reeded columns each lead up to a triform platform holding the three candle sconces which bear a design of vine leaves and grapes. Each arm bears the original double chains, as shown. The candelabra are surmounted by classical figures in draperies holding aloft bunches of grapes. In our opinion they are French and late 19th Century, circa 1880.

Height: 16 1/2 inches - 41.9cm

Base: 5 3/4 wide x 5 inches deep - 14.6cm x 12.7cm

Materials: Gilt brass and black marble.

Condition: Very good. The arm of one of the figures is slightly bent and may have been historically repaired and there are some old nibbles to the edges of the black marble bases.
