A very decorative pair of antique Victorian balloon back chairs in walnut. They have carved and pierced top and bottom rails and stand on shaped cabriole legs. The seats have been newly recovered in a light caramel coloured self patterned brocade. A very attractive pair of chairs with lovely carving. The walnut has been refinished at some point in a wood stain which has worn off in places giving the chairs a slightly "shabby chic" appearance.

These chairs have been refinished at some point in a dark wood stain which gives the chairs a brown appearance, which has worn off in places to reveal a lighter walnut underneath. The frames are solid . Newly recovered with new fabric over the existing upholstery which is firm and sound. Some old worm holes which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution and filled with wax.
