Handsome Alpine cupboard with perfect proportions for a domestic setting. Originally made in the Tyrol region of Western Austria/Northern Italy, the cupboard is beautifully decorated in the traditional Tyrolean manner. The door has a black ground with stunning floral displays in the panels.

Everything about this cupboard is original. The decoration, the hinges, the interior shelves and the lock and key. The only repair is the rim of the top moulding of the cornice which can be seen in the photos.

The cupboard bears a date of 1817 along with the name of the owner which looks like Maria but is rather indecipherable.

We love this style of antique furniture if only we could find more of it!
