A rare, original C19th Orkney chair.
This diminutive chair is constructed with a pine seat and frame made from salvaged timbers with a woven straw back.
It is a vernacular chair made for use in an Orcadian household and not for commercial purposes.
This fabulously untouched and characterful chair retains much of its original painted finish to the wooden parts and shows signs of use and wear over the past two centuries.
It measures approximately:

D: 50cm
