A very good early Wainscot chair with carved panels and chequered inlay. The colour is lovely with nice wear on the arms. It has three panels to the back and a well carved headrail. with The chair comes from the Cumbria/Yorkshire border region with pegged joints, and remains, after all these centuries, remarkable sturdy.
