Early Georgian oak cased eight-day longcase clock by Alex Massey, Sunderland know to be making antique clocks around 1810.

The brass face is nicely decorated with floral motifs, and angels holding ‘sic Transit Gloria Mundi’ - Thus passes the worldly glory." The phrase has been used to mean "fame is fleeting”

The body of the antique clock is a rich dark oak and heavily carved. The movement has recently been serviced and is in good working order.
