fine quality oak eight day longcase grandfather antique clock by davison of wooler (northumberland).
the hood, topped with brass finials and swan neck pediment with greek key moulded decoration and fabulous ornate pierced fretwork, shaped column supports.
the decorative face painted with scenes of the duke of wellington in battle and various ladies depicting the four continents, working subsidiary seconds dial and working calendar, original pointers.
the trunk with moulded columns to the sides, nicely shaped door and ornate eagle shaped brass escutcheon.
this super grandfather clock has just been fully serviced and is in good working order, it is 100% completely original, nothing has been added or tampered with, it really is an outstanding quality timepiece.
