A rare find, something I have never actually seen in the past, this is a first. Made from English silverplate, each candle holder has a full mark for the well renowned Sheffield silversmith, Martin Hall and Co. and dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890.

The inkwell is housed in the centre, the hinged lid lifting to reveal the fitted interior with a removable frame which holds the glass ink chamber.

The candelabra is beautifully decorated with swags and the base having four cast Ram's heads, one to each quarter.

Quite fabulous, it would look exquisite in the centre of a desk-top and certainly an intriguing novelty piece. Excellent condition, the candelabra spanning 10 1/2" x 3 1/2" and standing 8 1/2" tall.
