A delightful, small, 8 day Longcase antique clock by Nichols & Son, Newport, Isle of Wight. The oak case is typical of this maker, break-arch hood and long break-arch trunk door. Pretty, early, painted dial with gesso corners, calendar and original hands. The 5 pillar movement with knopped pillars, anchor escapement and striking the hours on a bell.
