A 1950s Clover branded musical powder box with an Ancient Greece themed lid. The music box plays The Anniversary Song very well. There is not any powder reside and the original puff and sifter are pristine. The lacquered brass has a rich golden patina and will not require any cleaning. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The inner lid is signed 'Clover'. The puff is also signed 'CLOVER' & stamped with the gilt Clover trademark. The original presentation box and pouch are also in very good condition. The inner lid has a scratch on it which does not spoil the enjoyment of this mid-century vanity. It is being mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" and weighs 153.4 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
