Celebrating the 18th century love affair with Chinoiserie, this small red lacquered table is a little gem. It is a D-shaped side table, unfolding to a circular occasional table. Concealed behind the deep frieze is a well. The tapered legs are decorated down to pretty pad feet. The table is principally constructed of oak. Hinges are original. The lock is a Victorian replacement. Condition for the age is excellent, with obvious cracking to the top and small areas of chipped lacquer.
