A fabulous Meiji period Japanese porcelain stick stand of cylindrical form painted with trees, blossoms and an exotic bird in red and underglazed blue with gilt highlights. The scene is set within scrolled and floral borders in underglazed blue. The condition is excellent, it stands evenly on the base and is very stable. With traditional oriental decoration, this would be a decorative addition to any home.
