A charming matched pair of Welsh oak side chairs with a wonderful rich colour and patination that is only acquired with age and years of polishing. These beautiful chairs are raised on turned front legs and stretchers with back splats carved with a beautiful heart motif, typical of the simple shapes used in Welsh country antique furniture. One of the chairs is stamped with the makers initials 'RB'.
The chairs are sound, solid and in good order, there is evidence of historic strengthening to the underside of one seat, shown in the photo. Two very decorative antique chairs to add country style to any interior.
