We are pleased to offer for sale this delightful pastel of a white miniature poodle by the artist MARY BROWNING, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner, dated in '86 and entitled it 'Honey'. The pastel shows a full head study of this delightful dog and would make a wonderful gift for any devoted miniature poodle owner.

Mary Browning is a 20th Century artist, who lives in Oxfordshire and taught art for fourteen years at Tudor Hall School in Banbury. She now paints and gives courses in the use of pastel. Along with many living artists, we have to rely on the internet for any information that we can glean as they are not covered in the reference books. She is a Member of The Society of Equestrian Artists and exhibits with them. She specialises in pastels of dogs and horses in a very similar style to that of Marjorie Cox.

However, her auctions results are available at findartinfo.com (24 listings) and artprice.com (18). A pastel head study of foxhounds by this artist achieved £749 at Christie's.

The pastel is on buff paper, has been double mounted and is framed in a 1" gilt and wooden frame. It is ready to hang.
