A good quality Chippendale style mahogany freestanding desk by the renown makers MAPLE & CO. The rectangular shaped top having a cross banded and moulded edge with hand dyed tooled leather writing surface. The 6 mahogany lined drawers have applied mouldings, with brass swan neck handles, escutcheons and brass locks. The kneehole having decorative carved fret work, the stiles on all sides with very good blind fret work. The whole raised on superb carved claw and ball legs with acanthus carving to the knees.
