Lovely Sheraton revival writing desk by famed Barnstaple manufacturer Shapland & Petter, c.1900. Mahogany throughout, with satinwood crossbanding and box and ebony inlays. Arts & Crafts influenced rear gallery with a pair of small heart inlays and two small drawers. Stood on four elegant square tapering legs all tipped with brass feet and supported by a cupids bow shaped rear stretcher. Original brass handles, with locks stamped ‘S & P, B’, with a stamped registration mark to the underside. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops, with a key supplied.
Dimensions: width 42″, depth 22″, height 47″.
