very handsome tavern antique clock / wall clock by CJ Thelwall, 97 Oxford Street, Manchester circa 1840.
the beautifully figured flame mahogany case with crossbanding detail to the hood and trunk door, the painted face with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and bearing the makers name.
passing strike 8 day movement striking the hour and half hour on a bell.
in good working order through out, this super quality clock needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
