Mahogany pedestal table. Work or sewing
This little mahogany pedestal table was probably intended as a work table or sewing table, with the rounded corners is in superb condition and freshly restored in our workshops. It is from the first half of the 19th Century and would make a fantastic hall table, as keys could be hidden in the little drawers so not on show.
It could of course be used as a lamp table or whatever you may wish. It has a very pleasing turning on the stem and all sits on the little cabriole leg. Quite a delicate and refined little item that would look good in many locations, it does not seem to photograph as good as it looks for some reason.
