A handsome and very clean and tidy bookcase from the later part of the 1800s. This example has the open centre giving a flat surface to use as a server in a dining room if needed. The top retains the original glass as can be seen in the pictures and the original handles and trims, adding greatly to the appeal of this example. The glazed area can be used for books or for display, the bottom has raised panels in the doors and useful internal storage for all sorts of items. There is a key which operates both locks, no a common find after over 100 years. All in all a superb looking and most useful piece of furniture with an arts and crafts influence. The mahogany has good colour and a great finish. We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas. We now open by appointment, but we are often open Fridays and Saturdays, but cannot guarantee,( our sign will be out if passing ) it is worth ringing before coming.Tel 01565 874075
