wonderful example of a longcase tidal antique clock by William Robson North Shields, circa 1800.
the beautifully painted face with moon and tidal phases to show high water at the Port Of Tynemouth and date indicator .
The case in lovely flame mahogany with canted corners and inlay detail, nicely shaped door and raised on bracket feet.
The eight day movement strikes the hour on a bell as in good working order.
This super clock really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
