Long Painted Pine Box Settle c.1900
Splendid painted pine box settle or hall seat c.1900. Six and a half feet long. Slatted backrest and shaped arms (in oak) with rounded terminals. Over a large seat (height 19") with two hinged panels lifting to reveal lots of useful storage inside for boots and shoes etc. Panelled front, applied base trim and shaped legs. Original paintwork rubbed and worn through in places. Otherwise very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
