Limed oak extending dining table and matching set of six chairs c.1930. The dining table extending from 72″ to 102″ length with two short leaves extending from the ends. Over a shaped and carved apron on turned and carved cup and cover baluster ends. Joined with a low stretcher with attractively shaped lower edge and raised on broad shaped sleigh feet. Four dining chairs plus two larger matching carver armchairs. Of arts and craft influence design in solid oak. Tall backrests featuring carved rose detail to the top rails, long slats and rear stiles with a lovely carved scroll detail to the tops. Straight arms to the carvers on turned front supports. Webbed and padded seats upholstered in a pale putty coloured leather with brass studs. Tapering front legs with turned pad feet, joined with straight stretchers at the front and sides. Table and chairs both in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
