A lovely late Victorian leather upholstered study chair presented in excellent order c1900.
With a very pleasing mahogany frame displaying serpentine front over cabriole legs, sweeping arms with relief carved scroll detail, and a most desirable H-form carved back splat.
The chair offers much in the way of comfort with supportive horse-shoe wide padded back rest. The whole has been professionally traditionally re-upholstered with quality leather hide and correct brass dome cap detailing.
The chair would work beautifully in any location, residential or commercial, and would make a fine feature piece or is suitable for daily use.
Overall the chair displays excellently with huge style and visual appeal.
With a generous seat height of 51cm (20.1") and a wide 61cm (24") seat this chair should suit all.
