Very impressively proportioned late 19th.c. walnut bookcase side cabinet c.1880. Over eight feet long and four feet tall. Marble top side cupboards fitted with a single adjustable shelf inside (depth 15½”) flank a shallower two door glazed centre fitted with two adjustable shelves (depth 11″). Plus a drawer above each of the doors. Honey coloured walnut veneers across the top front and sides. With satinwood marquetry inlaid detail to the drawer and door fronts and beautifully carved applied decorations. Note the very unusual carved heads at the centre of the door panels. Original marble tops with moulded edges and canted corners repeated on the cabinet an plinth. Repairs to one of the marbles, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
