This attractive pine kitchen dresser is primarily Victorian in date with later alteration. It is constructed from solid pine and dates from c.1880. It is of large proportions. The dresser consists of a base section with two large drawers over two cupboards, each with a single door and a single fixed wooden shelf inside, and there is a fixed central panel between the two cupboard doors. The top section has three arched open sections with three fixed wooden shelves. The drawers retain their locks and replacement brass handles, and the cupboard doors retain replacement brass knob handles but are missing their locks. Please note that no keys are present. The piece splits in two for ease of transportation, but please note that both sections are large and heavy and do not split down further.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected from a country piece, and the piece is overall faded, particularly to the base which is dry and would benefit from being waxed and polished. The work surface has some marks and scratches. The dresser has obviously had some alternation and repair over the years - the back panels have been replaced as has one of the cupboard shelves. There is some wear to the bases of the drawers where the drawer runners and drawer stops are worn.
