Large Oriental Root Carving of a Bearded Old Man

This is a good large piece, the finely carved head and hand of the Man is set into a gnarled old root stump. The Character has a curled beard and bandanna on his head, he has piercing glass eyes, who know what these have seen?
The hard wood carving is in good condition, the old root is as you would expect gnarled and has some cracking
The statue is 21” high, and 12” wide and deep
