Large early 19th.c. oak Welsh dresser produced on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales c.1830. Unusual, transitional design featuring a partially enclosed, inverted breakfront rack with glazed doors, above dummy drawers, either side of the more traditional open shelves. The base features three drawers over a two door cupboard base with dummy drawer fronts and oak panelled sides. The breakfront shape, kite shaped bone escutcheons, columns and turned knobs are all typical features of Anglesey dressers of this period. Barring a couple of knobs and a new lock it is in untouched, original condition.
