Large late 18th.c. oak dome topped trunk, c.1790. Solid oak throughout (all four and base being single piece boards) of tapering form with a high arched lid and shaped base moulding. Raised on sled feet, with a carved detail at the centre. Splendid original brass handle, pierced escutcheon plate and large iron carry handles. Excellent condition retaining the original lock and hinges. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
