Large mahogany Victorian bookcase cabinet display
This is a very impressive large single door bookcase cabinet. It is made in mahogany and is Victorian, dating to around 1870 or so. The bookcase cabinet is very impressive with a dentil cornice above and standing on a plinth base. The bookcase cabinet has adjustable shelves and these shelves have a polished mahogany leading edge.
This is a very imposing bookcase cabinet. It could be used as a display cabinet is you have a collection or as a bookcase and would look particularly good in an alcove.
The cabinet is in good antique condition. The mahogany is well polished. Marks from usage as you would expect. No lock but door opens and shuts as it should. Having such a large heavy single door it may be wise to secure the bookcase to a wall with the brackets which are on it but once cabinet filled with books etc it is stable with the heavy door wide open.
The bookcase cabinet is 78 inches high and 42 inches wide and 16.5 inches deep.
