Large George III Mahogany Bureau
A substantial George III figured mahogany bureau, this late 18th Century bureau has 4 graduated and cock beaded drawers, each retaining their original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The mahogany fall opens to reveal a tan leather writing surface with a fitted interior which has 4 pigeon holes and 8 small figured mahogany drawers each with brass axe head pulls. To the centre is a small inlaid door with tall column fronted pull outs to each side. This Georgian period bureau has a wonderful original colour and patina and stands on it's original ogee bracket feet. Has good oak linings and working locks and key. C1790. In overall very good original condition with 1 or 2 bumps & bruises associated with age and use but ready for use in the home or office. Delivery to most of U.K. £75.
