Large French marble top dressing table
Very elegant and well proportioned late c19th French Neo Classical dressing table with its original marble top, bevelled oval mirror plate and all original brass mounts, made in mahogany and burr amboyna, Circa 1880.
The bevelled mirror is in really good condition, so gives a lovely mellow reflection with no blemishing to the glass.
The marble top is in good condition too and does remove for ease of delivery, as does the mirror back section.
Two good size drawers giving storage space and most importantly of all with dressing antique tables, there is good height clearance for leg space.
Lovely quality and a good original example, well cleaned and has been beeswax polished giving it a wonderful glow.
Measuring:
49 1/2 inches or 126 cm high
44 1/2 inches off 113 cm wide
22 3/4 inches or 58 cm deep
31 1/4 inches or 79 cm surface height
25 inches or 63.5 cm the whole height
7.5 cm drawer height internally Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
