A very unusual, exceptionally tall 19th cent. continental, pewter flagon. The base has a hinged axe head type handle and is surmounted by a very unusual elongated neck with a shaped handle and a hinged lid. This has a lovely old original colour and is in fine condition. Sizes: 7 ½ “(19cms) wide, 7”(18cms) deep, 25 ½ “(65cms) high. Date circa 1850. I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of most of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Deliveries carried at as normal.
