Large and handsome early 19th.c. solid cherrywood vestments chest. Continental, possibly Spanish c.1820. With unusual carved detail to the front and exposed dovetails. In solid unrestored condition with a later lock. With a couple of handwritten labels to the interior proclaiming it to have once belonged to one Captain E Palmer Douglas and thereafter used to hold the Holy vestments in Sullingdon Church, West Sussex.
