This is a magnificent 19th century Indian dowry chest dating from around 1840. The solid hardwood chest has the most attractive brass and iron strapwork throughout and is in exceptional condition. This has forged metal carrying handles to either side . This beautifully made quality chest has a fantastic colour and patina and is a most imposing piece, measuring 125 cms by 80 cms by 52 cms high.
It would make a wonderful coffee table for a larger room and would look great in modern or antique settings.
