James I, Joined Oak Court Cupboard, Circa 1620
The gouge carved frieze, raised on turned inverted baluster supports, enclosing a pair of cupboard doors with later 17th century paint, depicting putti. The central panel with complex geometric line inlaid decoration within a deep carved cushion moulding, a central painted cupboard door below, depicting a vase with flowers.
