James Caldwall Engraving
Fantastic 19th century engraving by James Caldwall depicting a scene from Shakespeare's Macbeth 1st painted by Henry Fuseli RA. Beautifully surrounded in a black and gilt frame, this will always look good on any wall.
James Caldwall was an English draughtsman and engraver who studied under John Keyse Sherwin.
Henry Fuseli RA was a Swiss painter who spent much of his life in Britain. Many of his works dealt with supernatural subject matter.
John Keyse Sherwin earned a gold medal from the Royal Academy in 1772 for his painting "Coriolanus taking Leave of his Family".
