"Sometimes when I'm creating a seascape something happens to my imagination and I begin to see figures emerging from the ocean. They curve and flow empathetically with the currents and demand to be noticed. This usually occurs when there is plenty of texture in the painting . The figure takes me completely unawares and when that happens I just go with the flow..."
