We are offering for sale this superb oil on canvas by the artist Jack Levine or Leyine, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. The painting depicts a herd of wild horses stampeding at full gallop in a cloud of dust.

We have found an American satirical/political artist who died in 2010 by the name of Jack levine, but after looking at his work, are sure that this painting is by a different artist. The v in his surname looks like a y, but we think it is stylised and that his name is probably Jack Levine, although not the American one. Unfortunately, we have been unable to identify the artist of this painting, so can offer no biographical information. However, the horses have been executed superbly!

The painting is framed in a 3 1/4" chocolate brown painted frame and white and gilt slip and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Condition: Excellent. The frame is in very good condition, with a few marks on the white part of the slip.
