Circa early 1700s, rare Chinese iron-banded hardwood trunk. With extensive handmade iron fittings including petal shaped double locks and hinges. The iron strapwork is hand riveted to the carcass with unique steel rivets surrounded by brass collars. It is in excellent condition with an excellent colour and patina.
Size 47 cm high x 107cm wide x 61cm deep.
