An absolute stunning example of a vintage Camphor Chest, originally used to export Silk , Porcelain and Tea from China to Europe , it is well known for its strong fragrance which helped to repel wood boring insects and Moths making it an ideal storage location.
With beautiful carvings around the top edge and front, coupled with the carved carry handles on each side along with the brass clasp and original lock, this is a superb piece of craftsmanship.
