Classic late 19th.c. farmhouse kitchen armchair c.1880. High backrest with a curved crest rail on long slats nicely shaped to accommodate the sitter. Shaped arms on lovely turned spindle supports, all in beech. Seat made from a single elm board raised on turned legs, splayed for stability and joined with side and double centre stretchers for extra strength. Stamped with the initials E.G on the back edge of the seat. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
